Shuva Raha leads CEEW’s International Cooperation programme spanning five regions – Asia-Oceania, West Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. Her portfolio includes energy and resource security, the macroeconomics of emerging economies, global governance and multilateralism, digitalization and AI, climate resilience, and nexus challenges. Shuva anchors CEEW's advisory to multilaterals such as the G20, G7, BRICS, and the UN; has been a UNFCCC CoP Observer since 2016, and is a champion of ‘the India Story’ of the aspirations and achievements of 1.4 billion people.
Shuva has more than 26 years of experience across public policy, information technology, project management, branding, and institutional leadership. She engages with governments, institutions, and industry with a pragmatic worldview of priorities and realities, and is a thought-provoking international speaker and author.
In 2014, as Chief Operating Officer of CMYK Multimedia, a firm of The Pioneer (est. 1864) news group, Shuva segued into the policy space after a 15-year career in infotech—spanning the dot-com era and including the deployment of advanced ERP systems and intranets for some of India’s largest corporates. As Head – New Initiatives, Energy & Infrastructure at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), she led major assignments that helped exponentially scale India’s renewable energy and biofuels sectors and supported the formative years of the International Solar Alliance.
In 2010, Shuva instituted the Subir Raha Memorial Scholarship for underprivileged engineering students. An avid gamer since the ‘80s, she volunteered as Staff Writer for Metacritic-listed AdventureGamers.com for over a decade.
Shuva is a Postgraduate in Advertising & Communications Management from NMIMS, Mumbai, where she topped her class and was awarded the Advertising Agencies Association of India Raman Memorial Trophy. She has a BSc Honours with Distinction in Life Sciences and Biochemistry from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.
