Mission and Values

Who We Are

The Global South Policy Hub is a nonpartisan think tank dedicated to amplifying the perspectives, expertise, and priorities of the Global South in international policy spaces - particularly in Washington, and across the broader Global North. By elevating Global South expertise, strengthening cross-regional cooperation, and building bridges with Global North policymakers, we aim to contribute to an equitable, resilient, sustainable international order grounded in shared prosperity.

Our Mission

To connect Global South leaders, scholars, and practitioners directly to international policy arenas through research, dialogue, and network-building initiatives. We aim to inform Global North and international institutions' decision-making to advance a world order in which cooperation and partnerships between Global North and Global South states support the development of more inclusive, responsive, and equitable international policies.

"There is a close interrelationship between the prosperity of the developed countries and the growth and development of the developing countries." - Declaration on the Establishment of a New International Economic Order, 1974

Our Values

Inclusivity and Collaboration: We partner with diverse actors from the Global South to elevate historically marginalized voices, ensuring that their distinct perspectives inform decision-making in Washington and the wider Global North. We create channels for South-South and South-North cooperation, while recognizing the differences in both regions.

Equity and Fairness: To build a just international system, we deconstruct outdated and unequal models, rules, and institutional frameworks for global governance. Our work fosters an international order in which state cooperation is based on shared benefits, international law, and power-sharing. We seek to advance long-term sustainable development that, above all else, upholds human dignity.

Intellectual Independence and Analytical Rigor: We maintain nonpartisanship, intellectual independence, and evidence-based analysis to earn trust across political and geographic lines.
