Rigorous, policy-relevant research produced by our fellows coming from think tanks, academia, nongovernmental organizations, and the private sector in the Global South.
What We Do
What We Do
The Global South Policy Hub creates access points for Global South Policy experts to engage directly with U.S.-based decision-making circles shaping global policy. We achieve this through:
Convenings that bring Global South voices into spaces in the Global North where they are usually absent or underrepresented.
Network-building across the Global South ― Barbados, Brazil, India, South Africa, and beyond ― and across the Global North - in countries such as the United States, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
Outreach and engagement to translate research into actionable policy recommendations and engage with policymakers, media, academia, think tanks, diplomats, and international organizations to shape debates.
Nonresident Fellowship
Our Nonresident Fellowship Program offers mid-career and senior-level policy professionals from the Global South greater exposure to policy circles in Washington and across the Global North. Through publications and participation in virtual and in-person events, fellows engage closely with U.S. and Global North policy institutions and actors to highlight issues in their respective regions and inform policy decisions that impact their communities.
Congress Connect Fellowship
The Congress Connect Fellowship is the Global South Policy Hub's fellowship program for U.S. congressional staffers. This initiative is designed to deepen staffers' understanding of Global South perspectives on U.S. foreign policy and global governance. By directly engaging with high-level scholars from across the Global South, congressional fellows gain unique insights into global cooperation, trade and investment, and climate action and security, while exploring new and bold avenues to strengthen equitable bridges between Global South countries and the United States.
