On Friday, March 20, the Global South Policy Hub hosted its first Congress Connect Roundtable Discussion on the topic "Security, Sovereignty, and Economic Development in the Caribbean." The discussion focused on how development, militarization, sovereignty, and great-power rivalry are experienced and understood from within the region. It aimed to assess the legacy and consequences of U.S. interventions, evolving regional perceptions, and what a U.S. approach grounded in respect for sovereignty and genuine partnership would require in practice.

This was a private event held under the Chatham House Rule.
